Collage, Acrylic and oil on cradled birch. 

There is a time of day when the atmosphere holds a special golden light. The pond mirrors the sky and distant glow. I've painted this before and this time wanted to reflect more of the feel and magic of catching the moments this occurs. I wrote about it on the surface of the panel before I started painting and gave myself permission to paint and mark make in anyway I felt like. This is what came out. This process called for layers of collage, and many layers of acrylic, sanded between layers and the last pass was with oil sticks and oil paint.
