Lying in savasana one day in yoga class a thought popped into my head. What if things I thought while growing up were not what they seemed? This idea opened a period of introspection which ultimately brought me a sense of freedom & lightness.  I could let go of ways of thinking that no longer served me, yet leave lessons learned in their place. "Going a Different Way" on my hike was a metaphor to this time in my life. 

On this day, my favorite hike on Beech Mountain in Acadia National Park was under repair and I needed to take a different way which opened my eyes to new vistas and seeing the path differently.

What birthed from that yoga moment allowed me to go a different way and come home to me-lighter and safer.
